Vanavond zijn er een aantal nieuwe gezichten in het ensemble. Dit vind ik uiteraard erg leuk. Hierdoor zijn mijn ogen en oren ook grotendeels gericht op hen.
Chantal blijft toch echt wel geniaal. Bedenk mij ook of ik haar niet de award gun. Voor mij als meerdere-malen-bezoeker vind ik het altijd fijn om te zien dat spelers met hun rol aan het spelen zijn en iedere show andere dingetjes toevoegen aan de rol. Chantal is hier in ieder geval geweldig in.
Hetgeen wat zij vandaag anders heeft gedaan:
– De gezichtsuitdrukking op het moment dat Ianthe haar nieuwe schoenen laat zien is erg grappig. Ze trekt een gezicht van ‘die vind ik absoluut niet mooi’.
– Op het moment dat Glinda op de schoolbank zit en Professor Dillamond aan het woord is, speelt Glinda met haar veer. De kijkt hierbij meerdere malen scheel.
– Wanneer Glinda middels een toverspreuk de jurk van Elphaba wil omtoveren tot een baljapon maakt zij hele gekke (nieuwe) geluiden.
Willemijn is in haar rol van Elphaba ook een heel klein beetje aan het spelen. Dit is vooral te merken aan haar intonaties tijdens de liedjes.
Ook Jim verdiend een compliment. Ook hij is erg aan het spelen met zijn rol en gebruikt andere intonaties tijdens zijn spel. Naast dit verdiend hij ook een compliment omdat er weer iets niet goed ging. Fiyero bleef namelijk met zijn voet hangen in de liaan. Hierdoor viel hij op het moment dat hij op de grond wilde komen. Na een klein moment van stilte wilde hij zijn tekst weer oppakken. John begon op dat moment te lachen, waardoor zowel Fiyero als Glinda ook in de lach schoten. Verdiend kregen zij een applaus vanuit de zaal. Hierna pakte Jim zijn rol weer goed op.
Een ander ding wat mij is opgevallen is dat Penny in Smaragdstad viel. Meteen vreesde ik voor haar enkel, maar gelukkig heeft ze de hele show kunnen uitspelen.

Misschien moet je vorzichtig zijn met sommige formuleringen en niet elke kans gebruiken om te zeggen hoeveel beter andere zijn. Ik heb Wicked ook meer dan een keer gezien. Met Willemijn! En ze speelt erg goed met haar rol of haar stem! Gewoon omdat jij dat niet herkent (omdat je een klein beetje bevooroordeeld bent?!) betekent dat niet, dat ze niet ontwikkelden speelt. Mezelf stoort dat je heel denigrerend over haar schrijft. Ze speelt voor drie jaar Elphaba en ze veranderde ook die rol al sinds drie jaar. Met bewegingen, geluiden… Willemijn speelt nooit een Show als het ander. Misschien voor jou niet op de liggende hand…Ik denk dat ze het verdient, dat je over haar en haar werk met respect schrijf. Kritiek is heel goed (dit is ook niet het probleem! Echt niet), maar hoe dat gebeurt moet je misschien heroverwegen. Verder vind ik dat kritiek gerechtvaardigd zijn moet, wat het is niets voor mij. En zeker niet als je deze herhaling over en over doet. Gewoon omdat het jouw mening is, mag het niet waar zijn. Iederen die uitsluitend jouw blog leest, denkt direct dat Willemijn misplaatst is, omdat ze niks kan en elke dag hetzelfde speelt. Een mening hebben en een mening elke week twittern is een verschil. Maar ik vind het goed, dat je deze berichten van mij vrijgegeven hebt.
En als je niet wilt dat mensen op je mening en jouw blog ook negatief reageeren, dan mag je dat niet publiceren. ;-)

Mijn mening over haar is zeker niet veranderd. Maar ik schrijf mijn blog (voor mensen die al een jaar mijn site volgen) meer over veranderingen in de show. In mijn ogen laat Willemijn geen veranderingen zien. Dit neemt niet weg dat zij niet geweldig blijft. Maar voor een veelvoudige bezoeker is het heerlijk om te zien dat er veranderingen zijn. Wellicht zie ik deze bij Willemijn nog niet, terwijl ze er wel zijn. Maar bij bijvoorbeeld Chantal is elke show duidelijk te zien dat zij met haar rol aan het spelen is: door bewegingen, opmerkingen tussendoor, andere woordspelingen in haar tekst en intonaties. Dat maakt voor mij iemand nog bijzonderder.
Denigerend schrijven over Willemijn doe ik zeker niet, want dat verdiend zij ook niet. Dus ik weet niet waar je dat vandaan haalt?? Wat is niet snap is jouw zin “Iederen die uitsluitend jouw blog leest, denkt direct dat Willemijn misplaatst is, omdat ze niks kan en elke dag hetzelfde speelt.” Ik heb nergens staan dat Willemijn niets kan, integendeel. Dus ik zou graag weten waar je dat vandaan haalt?! Want over die zinnen lees ik waarschijnlijk heen als ik mijn blog opnieuw lees.
Maar je weet al van wie jij spreekt? Willemijn Verkaik is misschien in Nederland niet zo bekend maar haar carrière in duitsland is opmerkelijk!!! Jij schrijft erover alsof ze een ‘no name’ is en is ontdekt op de straat en ze steeds nog niet weet wat ze doet!

Ik weet uiteraard dat Willemijn in Duitsland heeft gespeeld en is uitgeroepen tot beste Elphaba van de wereld. Maar ik mag een mening hebben. Als je de show wat vaker ziet vind ik het persoonlijk leuk om te zien dat de spelers met hun rol aan het spelen zijn. M.a.w., andere intonaties en nuanses. Dit is voor mij een van de kenmerken dat een speler goed is.
Dit neemt absoluut niet weg dat ik Willemijn niet goed vind, integendeel…
