Na het ontbijt gaan we door naar ons volgende hotel, maar eerst maken we een tussenstop. We gaan vandaag namelijk naar Lake Powell.
Om iets meer van het meer te zien gaan we een boottochtje maken. Nadat we de kaartjes gekocht hebben moeten we nog een uur wachten voordat de tocht begint. We gaan dus eerst maar wandelend naar het water.
Na het uurtje mogen we eindelijk naar de boot. En ja hoor, het begint opeens keihard te regenen. Dit mag de pret niet drukken, maar het is wel jammer dat we geheel doorweekt op de boot moeten zitten. Gelukkig is er een overdekt stuk, waar we kunnen opdrogen.
De omgeving rond en op het meer is werkelijk prachtig. Het is heel bizar om te zien hoe de rotsen in lagen zijn opgebouwd. Een heel mooi verschijnsel.
Na de boottocht rijden we door naar ons hotel in Kanab. Dit is een dorpje dat zeer klein is, waardoor wij eigenlijk niet veel kunnen ondernemen. Na een diner in een echt Amerikaans restaurant en een dessert bij McDonalds gaan wij terug naar het hotel.
Al zappend langs alle televisiekanalen komen we een aflevering Friends tegen. Het blijkt de top 5 van Friends te zijn. Gelukkig schakelen wij net in bij de eerste aflevering. Na alle vijf de afleveringen met daar tussendoor wel (niet overdreven) 30 keer dezelfde reclame gaan wij lekker slapen.
